PairFire Signal: evidence, not a prediction
Six categories scored from what PairFire can actually read on chain, combined into one number — with every reason shown and every gap admitted. It appears on each token's page.
The rules it follows
- A missing input is never scored as zero. A category PairFire cannot measure returns no score and is excluded from the average entirely — it does not quietly drag the total down.
- Confidence is not safety. When inputs are missing, completeness falls and the page says so. A lower confidence does not mean a lower risk; it means less is known.
- Every score carries its reasons. The number is never shown on its own, because a number without evidence is just an opinion with a font size.
- It does not predict price. Signal describes what is true about a token right now. Nothing here forecasts what it will be worth, and no score is a recommendation to buy anything.
The six categories
Creator control
25% of the total weightMint authority, freeze authority, metadata mutability, and Token-2022 extensions such as a permanent delegate or a transfer fee.
Why this weight
These are the powers someone still holds over your tokens after you buy them. A permanent delegate can move tokens out of any wallet. This is the category most likely to cost a holder everything, so it carries the most weight.
Distribution
25% of the total weightReal holder count and how much of the supply the top wallets control, with pool and vesting accounts excluded.
Why this weight
Concentration is what makes a coordinated exit possible. Pool accounts are excluded because counting an AMM pool as a whale would flag every healthy token.
Liquidity
20% of the total weightDepth across all pools, and how that depth compares to the token's market capitalisation.
Why this weight
Liquidity is the difference between a price and a price you can actually sell at.
Demand
15% of the total weightTrade counts and volume, and the relationship between volume and the liquidity backing it.
Why this weight
Scored as a BAND, not a ramp: volume far above liquidity scores DOWN rather than up, because that pattern is more consistent with wash trading than with interest.
Wallet behaviour
10% of the total weightPatterns visible in the holder set today.
Why this weight
Deliberately limited. Real wallet-cluster analysis needs funding-graph work PairFire has not built, so this category scores only what it can actually see.
Social
5% of the total weightPresence of a website and social links reported by the data provider.
Why this weight
Capped low on purpose. A link is submitted by the token creator and verified by nobody, so a full set of links is weak evidence and is weighted accordingly.
Why there is no “High Signal” feed
Ranking a whole feed by Signal would mean reading on-chain facts for every candidate token on every refresh. The public Solana RPC cannot sustain that, and PairFire will not approximate it with market data and call the result a Signal ranking. The feed stays visibly unavailable until PairFire runs its own indexer.
Open a token from Discover → and its Signal panel is computed live from chain.
